Café Manager
Denim Co is looking for a Café Manager to organise daily operations and motivate the staff to provide excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities include managing staff, monitoring daily expenses and revenues and ordering supplies as needed. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops. Also, you should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our café into a favourite local spot.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe
Onboard new staff
Train employees
Coordinate with suppliers and order stock, as needed
Maintain updated records for OHS
Update & troubleshoot point of sale solutions
Maintain store email account and understand how to use social media
Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
Ensure all café areas are clean and tidy
Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
Requirements and skills
Work experience as a Café Manager or supervisor
Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Customer service attitude
Additional certification is a plus
Barista
Denim Co is searching for an experienced and energetic Barista to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
Make and serve specialty coffees teas and drinks
Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
Maintain a clean and sanitised work station
Follow health and safety guidelines
Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
Contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements and skills
Minimum 2 years experience in specialty coffee
Must be available to work weekends and early mornings (530am)

FOH
Denim Co is on the hunt to fill several front-of-house positions to join our fun team in our South Bank Cafe. Immediate start is available to right candidates who are available to work day shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities
Taking the customer’s orders
Serving food and drinks
Setting up and cleaning tables
Restocking/replenishing supplies as required

Cook / Chef
Denim Co is on the hunt for a cook / chef to join our growing team. We are looking for someone able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends and public holidays.
You must have experience in a similar role, be creative, and passionate about food and providing high standards of foodservice. Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure in a compact kitchen.
Responsibilities
Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
Assisting in the creation & presentation of daily & monthly food specials
Requirements and skills
Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
Must be available to work weekends and early mornings (530am)
